In case the Prototype Approval has expired, the bidder must have already applied for renewal/fresh Prototype Approval and shall upload documentary evidence. Please confirm.

Request for extension of the bid submission deadline.

Respected Sir,

CDigital is preparing a bid against the above procurement, for which the deadline is presently. We respectfully request an extension of four weeks.

Several distribution companies currently have AMI meter procurements open with closely spaced deadlines. Manufacturer's authorisations, capacity confirmations and firm offers are consequently taking considerably longer to obtain than they would for a single tender.

The remaining period is also short for the supporting documentation required from foreign principals, being type test reports, DLMS certification, supply records and performance certificates, some of which require attestation, and for the arrangement and physical lodgement of the bid security.

A modest extension would allow a greater number of substantially responsive bids to be received, which we respectfully submit would improve price competition without prejudice to any bidder. Instructions to Bidders clause [9.4] provides for the procuring agency to extend the deadline at its discretion. Should four weeks not be possible, we would be grateful for such shorter extension as you consider appropriate.

Request for Extension of Bid Submission Deadline – Tender No. 1394/26

                   With reference to the request submitted by M/s CDigital for extension of the bid submission deadline against the subject tender, it is informed that the tender was advertised on 22.08.2026, providing approximately 20 calendar days for submission of bids, with the deadline fixed as 10.09.2026 at 10:30 A.M.

The bidders have, therefore, been provided sufficient time to prepare and submit their bids in accordance with the bidding documents.

Furthermore, the procurement is required to meet the urgent operational requirements of SEPCO. Therefore, any extension in the bid submission deadline is not considered feasible at this stage.

In view of the above, the request for extension of the bid submission deadline is not granted. The deadline shall remain unchanged.
