With due respect, we would like to submit our observations regarding the technical specifications of "Low End ICU Patient Beds" published in the bidding documents.

However, after careful review and market assessment, we request the following amendments to ensure broader participation, fair competition, and availability of multiple internationally recognized manufacturers without compromising the required clinical performance and patient safety standards.
The requested amendments are as follows:
1. Bed Structure & Safety
o Safe Working Load:
Existing: ≥250 kg
Requested: ≥230 kg
2. Motorized Movements & Positioning
o Height Adjustment:
Existing: 44–76 cm (without mattress) or better
Requested: 35–70 cm (without mattress) or better
o Foot Section Movement:
Existing: ≥40° or better
Requested: ≥25° or better

3. Mattress Cover / Outer Fabric
o Kindly remove the following requirement:
• Side-handle design for easier placement

This feature is manufacturer-specific and does not affect the clinical performance, safety, or functionality of the mattress.
4. Bedside Cabinet Specifications
o Material:
Existing: Zinc-plated steel / ABS / MDF / Thermoformed PVC or better
Requested: Kindly ensure MDF is explicitly accepted as a compliant material option.
5. Over Bed Table Specifications
o Board Material:
Existing: HPL / ABS / PVC
Requested: HPL / ABS / PVC / MDF or better

Dear Sir,
1. With reference to the above-mentioned tender, we respectfully seek clarification regarding the acceptable form of Bid Security.
2. It is noted that the Tender Notice specifies that the Bid Security is to be submitted in the form of Pay Order / CDR. However, the checklist provided in the EPADS Tender Documents (Page No. 25 of 82) states as follows:
"The firm will provide CDR / Bank Guarantee / Pay Order in favor of Project Director."
4. The above provisions appear to be inconsistent regarding the permissible forms of Bid Security.
5. In order to ensure compliance with the bidding requirements and to avoid any ambiguity at the time of bid submission and evaluation, it is requested that the Procuring Agency kindly clarify whether a Bank Guarantee issued by a scheduled bank, in the prescribed amount and validity period, shall also be considered an acceptable form of Bid Security for this tender.
6. Your clarification will assist all prospective bidders in preparing their bids strictly in accordance with the requirements of the bidding documents.
